The newly formed Inverloch Windsurfing Club hosted their first windsurfing clinic and invited Allison down to lecture and coach for the weekend. The event was sponsored by Sailboard Headquarters, SHQ who provided all the beginners’ equipment, and also hosted an event on Friday night for those who wanted to learn more about life as a professional windsurfer and the recent Bass Strait Challenge.
The windsurfing clinic was fantastic. Around 30 windsurfers turned up for the weekend and the weather couldn't have been more perfect with 10-20 knots both days which made for excellent conditions for the beginners and intermediates to practise new skills learnt in theory sessions.
Thank you to Doug Hocken for organising this event. The Inverloch Windsurfing Club is to be commended for showing such enthusiasm in the promotion of windsurfing and introducing new participants to the sport. Thank you also to all the volunteers who helped out on the weekend.
